The Dallas Cowboys Star is a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment complex located in Frisco, Texas. Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing was brought on to complete components of the roofing and waterproofing scopes for Phase V of The Star. Phase V included a new office tower for The Star and others to utilize as a workspace. The office is designed to create a supportive environment for employees, featuring a cafeteria, coffee shop, pharmacy, and complimentary gym facility for them to use.
Roofing Scope
A critical aspect of Phase V involved the complex flat roofing scope, which was awarded to Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing. The first component of this roofing project was the installation of the Fully Adhered Sarnafil G410 60 Mil Roof System. This high-performance roofing solution was carefully installed over a concrete deck, ensuring both durability and exceptional weather resistance for the new office building. This advanced roofing system is designed to withstand the elements, providing long-lasting protection and peace of mind for years to come.
Waterproofing Scope
Another critical aspect Chamberlin was awarded on Phase V involved the various waterproofing scopes. The components of the waterproofing scope include below-grade sheet waterproofing, air barrier, vapor barrier, traffic coating, pavers, hot-applied waterproofing, cold-applied waterproofing, joint sealants, and firestopping. Each of these elements plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and longevity of the structure by preventing water intrusion, controlling moisture levels, and enhancing overall energy efficiency. The meticulous selection and application of these waterproofing systems not only protect the building materials from deterioration but also contribute to the safety and comfort of its occupants. Chamberlin’s expertise in coordinating these diverse aspects ensures seamless integration with other trades.
Commitment to Safety
Throughout this project, Chamberlin’s crews had numerous opportunities to demonstrate their commitment to safe installation practices and their high level of skill. The team was anchored to swing stages, suspended 120 feet in the air, allowing them to reach the balconies where the roofing work was being performed. Thanks to comprehensive training and adherence to stringent safety protocols, the team executed the installation with no incidents or errors.

As a result of this dedicated effort, the new office tower at The Star in Frisco, Texas, now has a top-quality adhered roofing system and waterproof building.
