Founded in 1897, Chamberlin has evolved and grown into a workforce encompassing over 750 employees. Operating in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana, the company provides professional building construction services including commercial roofing and sheet metal, waterproofing and caulking, building and garage restoration plus roof maintenance and leak repair for projects ranging from the aviation industry to high-rise commercial buildings. Chamberlin recently implemented SmartDrive's video-based safety program to enhance their fleet safety efforts and reduce unsafe driving behaviors to minimize incidents on the road.

All company vehicles have been equipped with SmartDrive technology, which monitors drivers while their vehicle is in motion and sends alerts based on triggering events such as abrupt braking and high speeds. The SmartDrive System has allowed Chamberlin to identify areas of concern and mentor their drivers on safe driving habits, in hopes to prevent accidents.

Within the first six months, Chamberlin saw a 100% reduction in rear-end collisions and a 96% improvement in their SmartDrive safety score. The safety score is a reflection of progress made across 24 different risk areas including speeding, distracted driving and following distance. Safety Director Justin Lambert said, “At Chamberlin, we are built upon our values, which are safety, quality and teamwork – and they’re in that order on purpose. Our selection of the SmartDrive program distinctly reinforces our top value, safety.” Not only is safety a primary focus on Chamberlin’s jobsites, but it is also a primary focus while driving.
