The [Excellence in Construction](http://www.abc.org/NewsMedia/NewsReleases/tabid/144/entryid/8211/associated-builders-and-contractors-honors-america-s-top-construction-projects.aspx) awards program is the industry’s leading competition, developed to honor innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects. This year's judging panel of industry experts included representatives from the Design-Build Institute of America, Engineering News-Record and the Construction Users Roundtable, among others.  The Dallas Love Field Modernization Program was recognized in the Specialty Contracting category. Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing installed nearly 550,000 square feet of roofing for the expansion and renovation of this landmark airport. During construction, the team identified a water pooling issue due to an improperly sloped roof deck and offered an [innovative solution](https://www.chamberlinltd.com/articles/fouryear-roofing-project-touches-down-in-dallas/).  Project Delta was awarded in the Specialty Contracting - Exteriors category for its [unique parking garage roof murals](https://www.chamberlinltd.com/articles/abc-excellence-in-construction-award-project-delta/) that could stand up to the weather.
