Shane Hubbard

Senior Project Manager – Waterproofing & Caulking

Houston, TX

It is no secret to our clients and fellow employees alike that Shane Hubbard is an extremely diligent and conscientious person. He is also particularly organized and thorough in his work. One of Shane’s most distinguishing characteristics is his dedication to exceeding client expectations.

Shane was working for an auto part manufacturer in Illinois as a line supervisor when the facility abruptly closed. “My daughter was about two weeks old at the time,” Shane said. He talked to a relative that worked for Chamberlin who informed him they were hiring and could make a place for him if he was willing to work hard and learn the business. So, Shane, his wife and daughter packed up and headed to Chamberlin’s office in Austin. “I arrived on a Saturday night and started work on a Monday as a laborer in the waterproofing department and have been with Chamberlin ever since,” Shane said.

That was 18 years ago. Over that period of time Shane has been repeatedly promoted and today is a Senior Project Manager in the waterproofing and caulking division. Through the years he has managed some large and notable projects including Minute Maid Park, the Enron Building and multiple projects in the Texas Medical Center. Most recently he managed the $4.3 million exterior restoration of the Lambeth House in New Orleans. This project along with flood mitigation work performed at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center won Excellence Awards at the Houston Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction Awards.

“In my 18 years at Chamberlin I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to complete a project safely, in a quality fashion and on time. I’ve also learned that building a team spirit with our clients is one of the most important aspects of my job.”
