An important aspect of Chamberlin’s quality initiative is Chamberlin University. Chamberlin ‘U’ was conceived and developed in 2006 and implemented as part of our strategy to prepare Chamberlin for the future by earnestly training and educating our own workforce. Chamberlin has graduated hundreds of craft workers and superintendents from the course and invested thousands of hours in Chamberlin University-specific training and education.
Chamberlin University Courses
Educating Chamberlin team members on safety, technical skills and soft skills empowers them to deliver quality, cost-effective projects that are completed safely and productively. Classes on safe and quality installations of the multiple waterproofing systems we install cover topics such as substrate conditions, details, coating and water testing. Similarly, our roofing installation courses cover roofing calculations, roof insulations and application techniques for the variety of roof systems we install.
In addition to system installation classes, other Chamberlin University courses include:
- Ensuring Safety
- OSHA 10 and 30-Hour
- Blueprint Reading for Roofing and Waterproofing
- Project Planning
- Project Execution
- Working with the General Contractor
- Human Resources and Leadership Skills
- CPR Training
- How to Hold an Effective Safety Meeting
