Chamberlin’s safety program is once again recognized for excellence. Chamberlin Safety Director, Jeremy Waldorf, accepted the 2007 Platinum STEP Safety Award at a ceremony on June 19th. Pictured with him from left to right is STEP Committee Chair Bruce Fuller with McCarthy Building Company and key note speaker ABC National Workforce Vice President, Bob Piper.

The Safety Training and Evaluation Program (STEP) is an accreditation program written by ABC member contractors for ABC member contractors to rate their safety and training programs. There are four designations (Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum) that are in varying degrees and all challenging to achieve. Chamberlin received Gold level status in 2006. Members who have achieved any STEP certification have demonstrated dedication to keeping their workforce safe and highly trained.
