Chamberlin’s safety program has once again received a Platinum award from Associated Builders and Contractor’s (ABC) Safety Training and Evaluation Program (STEP). This is Chamberlin’s second consecutive year to achieve the highest level of achievement in the STEP program.

STEP is an accreditation program written by and for ABC member contractors so that they may evaluate their safety and training programs. The process weighs safety performance data, an internal safety assessment and the influence of company management on the safety program. There are four designations (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum) that vary in degrees of difficulty to achieve. Chamberlin received Gold level status in 2006, Platinum in 2007 and 2008. ABC members who achieve any STEP certification have demonstrated dedication to keeping their workforce safe and highly trained.
