For Jason Brooks, nearly two decades in commercial roofing have reinforced a simple philosophy: take care of the customer, support your team, and do the job the right way. Those principles have guided his career and continue to shape his leadership at Chamberlin.
Nearly Two Decades in Commercial Roofing
Before joining Chamberlin, Jason spent 13 years with a Billion-dollar commercial roofing organization, building extensive experience in commercial roofing and service operations. Looking for a company that shared his commitment to customer service, quality workmanship, and teamwork, Jason joined Chamberlin nearly four years ago and has since become an integral part of the team.
“Chamberlin’s core values align with the way I believe business should be done,” Jason says. “Customer service, safety, quality, and teamwork are at the center of everything we do.”
A Day in the Life
As part of Chamberlin’s service leadership team, Jason focuses on supporting customers, developing service teams, strengthening communication across markets, and ensuring client needs are handled efficiently.
His week begins on Mondays with planning and review meetings, where priorities are established and progress is evaluated across markets. Tuesday through Thursday are dedicated to collaborating with Service Managers and checking in with clients to ensure their needs are being met. Fridays are focused on follow-ups, reviewing ongoing work, and preparing for the week ahead.
By staying connected with both customers and team members, Jason helps ensure Chamberlin continues delivering the high level of service clients have come to expect.
Outlook: Safety, Quality, and Teamwork
When asked about Chamberlin’s core values, Jason’s response is straightforward.
“It’s the most important thing and the foundation we stand on,” he says.
Whether working with customers, supporting service teams, or coordinating project needs, Jason believes that a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork creates the best outcomes for both employees and clients.
Memorable Projects
Throughout his career, Jason has had the opportunity to contribute to work for some of the nation’s most recognizable organizations, including SpaceX and NASA.
These projects stand out as highlights of his career, providing unique opportunities to support facilities that play critical roles in aerospace innovation and exploration.
Greatest Personal Accomplishment
While Jason is proud of his professional achievements, his greatest accomplishment takes place outside the workplace.
“Raising my two sons with my high school sweetheart of 30+ years,” he says.
And when Jason isn’t working or spending time with family, there’s a good chance you’ll find him at Humble Motor Speedway on the drag strip.
He recently finished a year-long, ground-up build of his truck, appropriately named “Bertha the Beast.” Even better, Jason completed the entire build himself, right in his driveway, with his sons alongside him throughout the process.
For Jason, the build was about more than just horsepower and turning wrenches. It was about taking on a challenge, doing high-quality work yourself, and sharing an experience with his sons that they’ll remember for years to come.
What If Not Roofing?
If commercial roofing had not become Jason’s career, he says he likely would have pursued his original interest in becoming a technical robotics engineer.
“I’ve always enjoyed figuring out how things work, building things, and finding a better way to make something perform,” Jason says.
That mechanical curiosity and problem-solving mindset never went away. Whether he’s working through a challenge at Chamberlin or turning wrenches at home, Jason still enjoys taking something apart, understanding it, and finding a way to make it better.
Looking Ahead
After nearly two decades in the industry, Jason remains focused on the same principles that have guided him throughout his career: take care of customers, support the people around you never stop learning, take pride in doing things the right way, and always do everything to the best of your abilities.
