Written by Admin | Jan 11, 2024 4:30:55 PM

Where it All Started:
Tim started out in general contracting working in operations and quality control. The quality control work that Tim was specifically focused on was related to roofing and waterproofing. When the opportunity with Chamberlin came to his attention, he interviewed and was hired in estimating for roofing and sheet metal. This job gave Tim the chance to focus on a specific skill set and refine his knowledge of roofing and sheet metal. Chamberlin has always promoted communication between the estimating and operations teams, and this led Tim to crossing back over into the operations side of work. His current responsibilities are to manage the sales and operations teams for roofing and sheet metal in the Austin/San Antonio markets.

A Day in the Life:
Tim’s day typically starts with checking in on his team to see how they are doing with their work, and how he can help to remove obstacles for them. Afterwards, he will check and respond to critical items in his inbox and plan the rest of his day. Tim utilizes a daily planner to both track his appointments and schedule tasks to completion. Like all operations and estimating staff, he tends to have phone calls that re-direct his attention throughout the day. When time allows, Tim likes to make jobsite visits and spend time training and developing the office and field roofing and sheet metal teams.

Outlook:
In Tim’s opinion, safety is first and foremost in importance, as we always want our teammates and the teammates of our clients and coworkers to return home safely. Customer service is possibly the second most important part of what we do at Chamberlin as it affects every aspect of what we do. Interacting with our clients, providing clear and concise technical expertise and a quality product that they can be confident will perform for the year to come. Focusing on being the person they can rely on, enjoy collaborating with and will want to work with on future projects. Having great customer service internally is paramount to creating a cohesive team that is supported and motivated. Teamwork is the backbone of our success in the field and in the office.

Notable Projects:
Tim has several notable projects he could make mention of, but here are just a couple:

a. Villa de Matel – This was a restoration project at an active convent, support facilities and chapel. It was a joint job with restorative waterproofing work and involved multiple types of roofing. The project was unique in that the construction was historic and the overall finish details were high. Safety and quality were of utmost importance as this was the corporate headquarters of the sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. (Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word (Owner), Chamberlin (Contractor)).

b. Crescent Novel – This was a multifaceted new construction project with a great general contractor and design team for a big developer. The timetable was tight and required good planning and coordination to mobilize and install on schedule. (Howard Hughes (Owner), Hoar (General Contractor), Chamberlin).

Greatest Personal Accomplishment:
Tim’s greatest personal accomplishment will always be his kids. He is proud to be a father of both his son, David and his daughter Addilynne and they both make him happy beyond words. As time goes on, Tim looks forward to each new adventure they will bring him along for.

Life Without Chamberlin:
If Tim wasn’t working at Chamberlin, he would be pastoring a church as faith that God is alive and at work in the world today. Tim enjoys sharing the gospel with people and diving deeper into what the bible can teach us about life. Leading small groups and men’s devotionals has been a part of Tim’s life since he was a teenager.
