Building Enclosure Commissioning + Building Restoration

Is there anything special on your summer reading list this year? Well, it may not be your traditional beach read, but if you’re looking for something you can sink your teeth into I suggest keeping an eye out for the Summer 2018 issue of Chamberlin’s newsletter.

This consultant’s corner, brought to you by Mr. Gary Williams of the Conley Group, is one you don’t want to miss. He offers an in-depth look at some of the distinct differences between traditional building enclosure consulting and Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx).

Chamberlin performed building envelope restoration for Gables Uptown Trail in Dallas, Texas.

This snazzy issue also features a recap of a yearlong multi-family project in Dallas where Chamberlin crews revitalized the seven-story Gables Uptown Trail community. This building restoration was no small feat given the intricate façade design, and it required some unique swing stage solutions.

Swing stages were constructed in various shapes and sizes to access different areas of the building façade for restoration.

While you’re there, you may as well take a peek at the proud Chamberlin chaps accepting the Associated Builders and Contractors’ (ABC) Pinnacle Award. This program “honors members who have created world-class safety processes and a safety culture where every employee understands that the wellbeing of those around them is everyone’s responsibility.” At least that’s ow 2018 ABC National Chair Georgy R. Nash, Jr. characterized this highest honor.
