Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing is proud to announce that our work on the Texas Tech University Womble Football Center and South End Zone Renovation has been recognized with a Subcontractor of the Year Award from the North Texas Chapter of the American Subcontractors Association (ASA).

This recognition reflects the dedication, innovation, and craftsmanship our team brings to every project, regardless of its size or complexity.

The Texas Tech project required Chamberlin to perform a comprehensive scope of work that included below-grade and above-grade waterproofing, air barriers, joint sealants, traffic coatings, and sheet metal flashing. From the outset, the project presented unique challenges, including long-distance coordination and early structural delays. Rather than allowing these obstacles to impact progress, our team responded with proactive planning, strong communication, and strategic problem-solving.

Although the project experienced schedule shifts outside of our control, Chamberlin remained aligned with Manhattan Construction Group’s schedule and successfully delivered our work on time. By reassessing workflows, prioritizing critical path activities, and reallocating resources where needed, the team recovered lost time without compromising safety or quality.

Because the project site was located outside our typical service area, collaboration was critical to its success. The team relied on regular virtual meetings, consistent communication, and digital project management tools to keep everyone connected. ProjectSight served as the central hub for project documentation and real-time updates, ensuring field teams and project managers always had access to the latest information. This level of transparency reduced miscommunication, accelerated decision-making, and kept the project moving efficiently.

The team’s commitment to operational excellence also resulted in completing the project using fewer labor hours than originally estimated. Through thoughtful planning, streamlined workflows, and effective coordination, Chamberlin minimized rework while maximizing productivity, demonstrating the value of experience, preparation, and teamwork.

Safety remained a cornerstone throughout construction. Regular training, strict
adherence to safety protocols, continuous site monitoring, and proactive hazard identification fostered a culture where every team member remained accountable for maintaining a safe work environment.

Ultimately, the Texas Tech University Womble Football Center and South End Zone Renovation exemplifies what happens when experienced professionals combine innovative thinking, disciplined execution, and a commitment to excellence. The project not only met the client’s expectations but exceeded them by delivering a durable, high-quality waterproofing solution while maintaining schedule, improving efficiency, and upholding Chamberlin’s high standards of safety and craftsmanship.

We are honored to receive this recognition from the North Texas Chapter of the American Subcontractors Association and extend our gratitude to Manhattan Construction Group, our project partners, and every Chamberlin team member whose hard work made this achievement possible.
