Chamberlin has an immediate position available for the role of Safety Coordinator in our Austin market. This position will include but will not be limited to daily safety audits, development of site specific safety plans, weekly safety meetings and training, OSHA compliance/inspections, job hazard analysis, injury reporting, and working with general contractor’s safety personnel to ensure the Chamberlin’s compliance with site specific safety programs.

Requirements:

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or in a safety related field, or 1-3 years of experience in a safety related field.
  • Candidates must have clean criminal record, valid driver’s license, and reliable means of transportation
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Candidate must have good organization skills
  • Candidate must possess problem solving skills and be self motivated
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A basic level knowledge of Spanish is highly preferred, but not a requirement
  • Certifications such as OSHA 500 are a plus, but company will train to suit
